Nothing is more sinister to the employee’s morale than persistent workplace negativity. It saps the liveliness of your organization and diverts critical attention from work and performance. Negativity occurs in the attitude, outlook, and talk of one department member, or in a swelling of voices responding to a workplace decision or event.  American companies oftentimes place more value on the bottom line than they do the lives and well-being of their employees which has increasingly resulted in a stressful workplace.

Millions of people every day are struggling to find their place in the work world. Employees are battling demanding work situations. Many are concerned about their foray for new employment. Others are faced with the warning of job changes and/or threats of lay-offs, it can be a scary scenario.  The book, Joy at Work: Empowering Scriptures for the Workplace is Spiritual ‘first aid’ to help you get centered–anytime, anywhere.  Joy at Work is a collection of biblical principles and scriptures to help one navigate the crossroads of the workplace using screen beans illustrations

Hope is a powerful force. It arouses your mind to explore every possible angle. It enables you to overcome daunting obstacles. It’s absolutely essential to the life God wants you to live. It’s the fuel your heart runs on. It’s the single biggest difference between those who persevere and those who give up. Hope is what makes couples say, “I do,” without any guarantees, and later, after all the broken promises, pick up the pieces and try again knowing it can get better. It’s why composers agonize over a score and artists over a canvas, believing some glimmer of beauty will emerge from the struggle. This is not blind optimism, but faith focused, and hope –in God. Having hope will give you courage. So keep your hope alive by trusting in God! Job 11:18

Of course, we all know money cannot heal – but it can change our consciousness, emotions, mindset, physical surrounding, well-being, and our spiritual understanding of money.  Wow, when you think of it, money does solve a lot of problems.  I found the way to improve your financial consciousness is to change how you think about money from the inside-out.

If you focus on being broke and not enough, this mindset will manifest in your conscious world.  So much so that you will think that something evil is happening to you and the malice intent is because of your words and thoughts.  Why not change your profession.  Try it by focusing on what your God-given talents and gifts.  Why focus on what you don’t have…it’s not going to change anything…actually it will.  You will feel more depressed and undeserving of anything good.  So why go there.

Think about it, by you focusing on your natural talents and God-given gifts – take your mind off of the negativity.  As we look inward we realize that we have been given a gift.  We make not use it, but one thing for sure…it will create a void in your life until you start using it.   Our talents are to be shared to bless not judge or criticize others. The money is a benefit that comes out of our sharing. Why not do more of what you’ve been blessed with – it certainly will start the healing process centered around money and material possessions; thereby, creating an extraordinary life.

Welcome to my first blog post.  It’s MAY!!  As I look out and see the beautiful lawns and lush green trees, I wonder how often do we “weed” our minds and emotions from all the negativity we receive.
